(A) Young Geographer Award This DGSI introduces “Professor B. Hemamalini Young Geographer Award 2015” as she has given Rs. 1, 50,000 /- | ||
(B) Bhugol Bhushan Award (No biodata is accepted) The Deccan Geographical Society, India has constituted “Bhugol Bhushan Award” from 2006. This award consists of certificate of excellence, memento and cash prize. The DGSI society tries, seeks and commits to promote geographical related activity in the field of watershed management, earthquake, micro level planning, weather forecasting, rural development, urban planning and tribal development. And therefore DGSI society nominates a person for Bhugol Bhushan Award every year (Note that any proposal will not be entertained in this regard). This award is distributed at the time of inauguration of DGSI conference. | ||
(C) DGSI Teacher Award (No biodata is accepted) The Deccan Geographical Society, India has constituted “Geography Teacher Award” from 2010. This award consists of certificate of excellence and memento. The DGS society tries, seeks and commits to promote geography related activity. And therefore DGSI society nominates a person for Geography Teacher Award every year (Note that any proposal will not be entertained in this regard). This award is distributed at the time of inauguration of DGSI conference. | ||
(D) Lifetime DGSI Award (Fellow of DGSI Society) The Deccan Geographical Society, India has constituted the new award "Fellow of DGSI society" for the persons working as administrator in Central/State government body. This is known as lifetime achievement award is nominated for one person every year by the society. |
